Are you a resident of NJ? Specifically Mercer County? Are you working a minimum of 30 hours/week or are in full-time school (12 credits per semester, no more than 6 of which can be taken online) or job training (20 hours/week) Are you income eligible?

How to apply

You may be eligible for the NJ Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) To request an application:

  1. Download an Application Here for the Spanish Version
  2. Call (609) 851-2222 , press 2 for the Child Care Subsidy Application Request Line.
  3. Pick up an application at their office.

Documents needed to apply

  • ID for applicant/ Co applicant
  • Proof of address
  • ID (ex: birth certificate) for every dependent to confirm household size
  • Proof of income
  • Employer verification letter
  • 4 weeks of Paystubs
  • Course registration for schooling
  • ID (ex: social security) for each child that you need care for.
